Victoriousis getting a new spinoff. The show, which ran on Nickelodeon for four seasons between 2010 and 2013, starred Victoria Justice as Tori Vega, a new student at the performing arts high school Hollywood Arts. The main cast of the series also included Leon Thomas III, Matt Bennett, Elizabeth Gillies, Avan Jogia, andWickedstarAriana Grande. In addition to helping launch the career of Grande, who has since become a major pop star and an Oscar nominee, the show featured up-and-coming guest stars over the years, including Max Carver, Yvette Nicole Brown, Ki Hong Lee, and Alexandra Shipp.
PerDeadline, theVictoriousspinoffHollywood Artsis in the worksat Nickelodeon. The show, which is being written and executive produced byVictorious' Jake Farrow andThe Fairly OddParents: Fairly Odder’s Samantha Martin, will follow returning character Trina Vega (Daniella Monet) becoming a teacher at her titular alma mater. Trina, who was a main character in all four seasons, is Tori’s older sister who makes up in confidence what she lacks in talent. Monet will be on board as an executive producer in addition to reprising her original role. Other roles for the multi-camera comedy are currently being cast.

What This Means For Victorious
Other Characters Could Return
IfHollywood Artsmakes it to the air, it will officially become the second spinoff in theVictoriousfranchise. The first was the crossoverSam & Cat, which lasted for one season and starred Ariana Grande as Cat Valentine opposite Jennette McCurdy as heriCarlycharacterSam Puckett. That show featured multiple appearances fromVictoriouscast members, including former series regulars Matt Bennett as Robbie Shapiro and Elizabeth Gillies as Jade West, potentially setting a precedent for further character returns in the new show.
SupportingVictoriouscharacters who appeared inSam & Catalso included Hollywood Arts acting teacher Mr. Sikowitz (Eric Lange) and, in a meta twist, Sinjin Van Cleef actor Michael Eric Reid as himself.

However,Sam & Catpremiered in 2013, just months after the finale ofVictorious. If it gets made,Hollywood Artswill debut more than a decade later, sothe cast’s availability will likely be much more complicated to wrangle. In addition to Ariana Grande becoming a major Oscar contender after playing Glinda inWicked, her co-stars have taken on other major projects in the meantime that could prevent them from making appearances. This includes Avan Jogia starring opposite Dove Cameron in the Prime Video thrillerObsessionand Victoria Justice taking on a recurring role in theupcomingSuits LA.
Our Take On The Victorious Spinoff
Its Longevity Is Questionable
Ultimately, given Nickelodeon and Paramount+’s track record of reviving older shows, it seems highly likely that the newVictoriousspinoff will make it to air. However, whetherHollywood Artslasts is another question. While theiriCarlyreboot lasted three seasons, the live-actionThe Fairly OddParents: Fairly Odderonly lasted one. Additionally, their legacy sequel moviesGood Burger 2andZoey 102are so far showing no signs of getting sequels, sothe Trina Vega spinoff will likely have to excel to be renewed, which may not happen considering what an unusual character it is being centered around.
