On the latest episode ofHappy, Sad, Confused,Josh Horowitz asked Garfield if it is a fair assumption that he has had any conversations about coming back as his version of Spider-Manafter 2021’sSpider-Man: No Way Home. Garfield laughed while carefully answering Horowtiz’s Spider-Man question by sharing the following tease:
Yeah, of course, your assumption is not unfounded…if I was in your position, I can imagine going, ‘Yeah, he’s probably had some conversations,‘too, yeah.
What Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Man Comments Mean
Andrew Garfield’s careful handling of questions regarding his potential future asSpider-Man in the MCU timelinemakes it clear that, whatever the case may be in this regard, it’s set to be held under wraps for the time being. For example, when Horowitz asked Garfield if he had offered his own perspective or ideas on what he’d like to see for his Spider-Man, the British actor would only say,“I also understand that question. I also understand in your position you’re going to be wondering, because it was such a success, that you’d go, ‘Well they must be talking about it.'”
However, Garfield does make a pertinent note later on when he states,“This feels a little tantamount to illegal, kind of insider trading in some kind of way. No matter what I say, I could be held liable for that and I’m going to decline to comment.“While a response to a question about whether Horowitz should bet on his return, it’s also one that highlights the fact that Garfield likely is sworn to secrecy whatever the case may be.
