The LEGO Group has released a brand-newAhsokaset, showcasing the titular Jedi’s final duel with Thrawn in her recent live-action series. On the extragalactic world of Peridea, Ahsoka and her allies reunited with Ezra Bridger, who had been exiled for a decade since the end of the animated seriesStar Wars Rebels. However, the same was true of theEmpire’s Grand Admiral Thrawn, resulting in an epic confrontation atop the Great Mothers' temple. Now, that final battle has received the brick-built treatment from LEGO.
Having released on August 1st,Ahsoka Tano’s Duel on Peridea (75385)was one of several newStar Warssets released by the LEGO Group. Inspired by the recentAhsokaseries that was released in 2023, Duel on Peridea joins previously released LEGO sets inspired by the show, including Ahsoka Tano’s T-6 Jedi Shuttle (75362) and Ghost & Phantom II (75357). The box art for Ahsoka’s Duel on Peridea provides an accurate look atThrawn’s Star Destroyer in the background known asThe Chimaera, evoking the Grand Admiral’s epic debut in theAhsokaseries aboard his warship where he met with Morgan Elsbeth, Baylan Skoll, Shin Hati, and the Nightsisters' Great Mothers. However, the build itself takes center stage both on the front and back of the box.The art effectively showcases the model depicting the top of the Nightsister temple where the majority of the show’s final battle took place, as well as its play features.
Inside the box, the entirety of the build comes in three bags, as well as a large sticker sheet.Having 20 stickers that need to be applied, one might have hoped for at least a few printed pieces, especially considering the model’s various star-map murals with gold lines and circles that need to be matched up with precision. Including the minifigures, Ahsoka’s Duel of Peridea comes in at 382 pieces.
Grand Admiral Thrawn
The only alien to ever ascend to the rank of Grand Admiral, Thrawn is a strategic genius who hails from an isolationist race known as the Chiss. Thrawn’s motives are enigmatic, but his tactical brilliance made him a vital asset for the Empire. Jedi Padawan Ezra Bridger successfully defeated Thrawn during the Battle of Lothal, resulting in Thrawn’s exile to the distant planet Peridea in another galaxy, but the Grand Admiral has now returned.
Build Breakdown For Ahsoka Tano’s Duel on Peridea (75385)
The Top Of The Great Mothers' Temple In Three Parts (With Too Many Stickers)
Split across only three bags, Ahsoka’s Duel on Peridea is a relatively quick build. At a leisurely pace, the whole model took just under an hour to fully assemble, including slower moments when extra time and patience were required to apply all the aforementioned stickers. While the first bag largely contains all the hidden play features such as gears to rotate figures and mimicAhsoka’s duel with Morgan Elsbeth, the second bag completes the rest of the floor aside from the moving platform pieces which are in the third and final bag.
The third bag also features the four black columns adorned with gold star-map stickers.While the instructions say to add stickers before fully assembling each column, it might be helpful to apply them at the very end instead, as collectors will likely have an easier time lining up all the lines and circles. The model’s five new minifigures are also split across the bags and assembled throughout the build.
A Closer Look At The New Ahsoka Minifigures
New Ahsoka, Thrawn, Ezra, and More
The minifigures for Ahsoka’s Duel on Peridea are quite impressive, as each one is currently exclusive to this particular model. Dressed in the white tunic she wore in the back half of the series, Ahsoka’s dual-printed arms add great detail to the exciting minifigure. Likewise, it’s also nice to receive a new Thrawn minifigure, seeing as how the last one was released 7 years ago. Morgan Elsbeth is also new, featuring the Nightsister face tattoos she received inAhsoka’sfinale, as well as the greenBlade of Talzin that was given to her by the Great Mothers.
While it would have been nice to receive more than one ofThrawn’s Night Troopers, the single trooper that comes with the model is pretty perfect. Featuring red coverings and gold cracks across the armor, the Night Trooper also features an undead zombie head underneath the classic helmet. To that end,all five of these new minifigures are certainly big incentives for collectors to get their hands on this newAhsokaset,right alongside the impressive Peridea model.
