A Working Mangets a new red trailer, promising some bone-crunching violence from Jason Statham’s new action movie. Serving as a reunion for Statham and director David Ayer after thesuccess ofThe Beekeeperlast year, the upcoming film sees the actor starring as Levon Cade, a construction worker with a dark past who sets out on a mission to recover his boss’s teenage daughter from human traffickers. The film, which features a script from Ayer, Sylvester Stallone, and Chuck Dixon, is the latest in a long line of Statham action movies, and is set to hit theaters on March 28.
Following the release of the regular trailer earlier this year,Amazon MGM Studiosnow shares a red band trailer forA Working Man, showing just how violent Statham and Ayer’s new collaboration will be.The trailer features an extended look at Cade’s pool torture of Jason Flemyng’s Wolo Kolisnyk, in addition to teasing some shootouts, knife fights, and hand-to-hand brawls, some of which get quite bloody. What The Red Band Trailer Means For A Working Man
The Film Has Echoes Of The Beekeeper
Though the red band trailer isn’t wildly different from the all-ages one, it does provide a better look at some ofA Working Man’s castof characters. This includesStranger Thingsactor David Harbour, who plays one of Cade’s allies, Gunny Lefferty, Merab Ninidze’s Yuri, Maximilian Osinski’s Dimi Kolisnyk, and Arianna Rivas' Jenny. Jenny, the boss’s daughter Cade is attempting to rescue, looks like she’ll get to participate in some of the action scenes, including one involving a grenade.
15 Jason Statham Action Heroes Ranked Weakest To Strongest
Across countless action movies, Jason Statham has played some truly formidable heroes who have displayed incredible feats of strength and ingenuity.
As for the violence shown off in the trailer, it looks to be about on par with what was featured inThe Beekeeper. ThoughThe Beekeeperwas rated R, just asA Working Manis, the action isn’t bloody or gory in an over-the-top way, with Ayer clearly choosing his moments to give them maximum impact. The shootings and stabbings in the movie do certainly look like they’ll pack quite a punch, though, and the trailer shows off one moment in whichCade shoots an enemy off a motorbike with a large mist of blood.

It was recently confirmed thatStatham will return forThe Beekeeper 2, though Ayer won’t be directing.
Our Take On A Working Man’s Red Band Trailer
Statham Fans Could Be In For A Treat
The Beekeeperwas a surprise success last year, earning generally positive reviews from critics and grossing $152 million worldwide on a $40 million budget. It’s not clear whatA Working Man’s budget is, but it’s probably about the same. With Statham starring, Ayer back in the director’s chair, and an easy-to-understand premise, the upcoming film could certainly find success, though it may not quite reachThe Beekeeper’s heights.
Statham has clear strengths as a performer, and one of them is playing stoic, one-man-army-type heroes.

Even though it would be fair to criticizeA Working Manas more of the same for both Statham and Ayer, there is clearly an audience for this kind of material. Statham has clear strengths as a performer, and one of them is playing stoic, one-man-army-type heroes. It remains to be seen how audiences will respond toA Working Man, but the movie certainly looks like it won’t disappoint when it comes to action.
