Mike Zacharias is known as humanity’s second strongest solider, right behind the legend Levi Ackerman. Mike’s abilities on the battlefield are second only to the best in Paradis, making his death a huge blow to their overall strength. Mike’s death was a slow, cruel death at the hands of the Beast Titan. While Mike was scouting what he thought was an Abnormal Titan (The Beast Titan), he called for his horse so he could leave.
Mike was surrounded by four larger Titans but still had time to escape, until the Beast Titan grabbed his horse and threw it at him.Mike’s fate was signed in an instant.He was knocked off the building he was on, falling right into a Titan’s mouth. The Titan ate one of his legs. The Beast Titan then took his OEM gear and allowed the rest of the Titans to finish the job.
7Carla Yeager
Eren Watched His Mom Die in Front of Him
Carla Yeager’s death set the tone forAttack on Titanearly.The first episode begins peacefully, setting the stage for one of themost tragic events of mass destructionin any anime. The Armored and Colossal Titans break down Wall Maria, letting hordes of Titans break it. When they break the wall, they send debris flying everywhere, killing dozens. One of the pieces of debris lands on Eren’s house and pins his mom to the ground. She can’t escape it.
The Smiling Titan then appears, looking to eat Eren and Mikasa. Hannes tries to free Carla from the rubble, but he’s not strong enough. He tries to fight the Smiling Titan, but he’s too scared. He decides to save Eren and Mikasa,while the pair watch Eren’s mom get her back broken and then eaten by the massive Titan.

Erwin Smith’s death is one of the most inspirational and saddest deaths in anime. Erwin and the Survey Corps are up against the Beast Titan, and it’s not looking good. The Beast Titan is able to grab rocks and crush them, creating an avalanche of sharp rubble that he can throw at lethal speeds. The Survey Corps can’t escape because he has them pinned down, sotheir only choice is to charge right at himto hopefully create an opening for Levi.
Erwin realizes the situation at hand and gives the greatest speech inAttack on Titan.He fills his troops with the courage they need to face death bravely. They charge right at the Beast Titan, who falls for their sacrifice, allowing Levi to get in close and slice him up like sushi. Erwin’s death is a testament to thepowerful and ground-breaking life he lived.

Sasha Braus was one of the simplest characters inAttack on Titan.All she wanted to do was eat good food with her friends.When Eren invaded Marley, his friends had to go save him. They attacked Marley very well, using Armin as the Colossal Titan to destroy important enemy bases and back up Eren effectively. They almost got away with zero casualties, until Gabi and Falco snuck onto their airship.

Too Smart for His Own Good
Reiner, Bertholdt, and Annie’s revealis one of themost shocking moments in anime. Before they were training alongside the rest of the Survey Corps, they were the ones responsible for the fall of Wall Maria. They were directly responsible for killing Eren’s mom and everyone else inside the Walls, setting the events ofAttack on Titaninto motion. While they did a great job of hiding their secret for most of the series, they accidentally let their plan slip in front of their fellow Scout, Marco Bodt.
Marco didn’t understand what he had heard at first and gave Reiner and Bertholdt the benefit of the doubt. They couldn’t take any chances though, and hunted Marco down. Annie then arrived and helped the pair by stripping Marco of his OEM gear. The trio of traitors then spot a nearby Titan,sacrificing their former ally to it in one of the saddest deaths in the series.

Ramzi and Halil weren’t on either side of the war inAttack on Titan.They were poor beggars who were victims of the Rumbling. When Eren invaded Marley, he found Ramzi being beaten by multiple men for stealing. Even though he knew he’d eventually kill the boy through the Rumbling,he saved him from his beating in an attempt to rewrite the future.When Eren realized it wouldn’t change anything, he cried to Ramzi and apologized profusely, much to the boy’s confusion.
Ramzi and Halil are running from the Rumbling when a Colossal Titan destroys a building while it walks, kicking massive amounts of debris their way. One of the pieces pins Ramzi to the ground, where he is forced to look at Halil’s dead body. Through blood-curdling screams,Ramzi is trampled by a Colossal Titan and dies savagely.

It’s moments like Faye’s death that make Eren’s rage towards Marley perfectly understandable. When Eren’s father, Grisha Yeager, was a small boy living in Marley, he heard of some flying boats that would be in the area. He took his sister Faye with him to go look at the boats, but they snuck into an area they weren’t allowed to be in to look at the boats. They were caught by two guards. Grisha tried to do the right thing and offered to get punished for both of them.
The second guard took his sister away, saying that he’d escort her back while Grisha received his punishment. Instead of taking Faye back home,he had multiple dogs attack her, killing the young girl horrifically.Faye’s death lit an unquenchable anger insideGrisha that he eventually passed on to his son Eren, leading to the end of the world.

When he found out Marley was behind it all, he decided that the world needed to end for a new one to begin. His friends tried to convince him otherwise, but it was too late. Eren told him that if they wanted to stop him, they’d have to kill him. Mikasa did just that.
