Summary
Qi Gems aren’t exactly the easiest currency to earn inStardew Valley, so players understandably would like to know the best ways to spend them. Qi Gems are a type of currency the player can spend atMr. Qi’s Walnut Room on Ginger Island, which opens after they have collected 100 Golden Walnuts. There are 26 items players can buy with their Qi Gems, which vary in both cost and quality.
Some items from the Walnut Room are not really worth spending Qi Gems on. For example, the Mini-Shipping Bin can more easily be obtained by doing a “Crop Order” quest or Pierre’s request for gold star produce. Thebest items to get from the Walnut Roomare, therefore, ones that can’t be found anywhere elseor are at least easier to get with Qi Gems.

Stardew Valley’s Most Notorious Item Ensures You’ll Never Break Fishing Tackle
Tackles break too soon in Stardew Valley, but there is one hilarious hack that offers a workaround for those frustrated with the fishing feature.
10Galaxy Souls Can Create Stardew Valley’s Best Weapon
Combining Galaxy Souls With Galaxy Weapons Creates Upgraded Infinity Weapons
Galaxy Souls are items that can be used with the three different Galaxy weapons inStardew Valleyto create Infinity weapons. These are some of the best weapons in the game, so players looking to cut their way through the mines more easily will want to get their hands on them. Players need three Galaxy Souls per weapon they want to upgrade from Galaxy to Infinity.
Stardew Valley: How to Craft the Infinity Blade
Stardew Valley’s Infinity Blade is the strongest weapon available in the game. This guide will show players how they can forge this weapon.
Unlike some of the other items in Qi’s Walnut Room, Galaxy Souls can actually be found in other places. This means they might not be a top priority for some players when it comes to spending Qi Gems. That said, if players want to speed up the process of finding Galaxy Souls, this is a good way to do it. If a player already has two Galaxy Souls and just wants to quickly grab the third, spending their Qi Gems on it can be a nice tradeinstead of having to try and farm another one.

9The Aquatic Sanctuary Is A Customizable Piece Of Furniture
Players Can Display Fish & Sea Creatures In Their Home
The Aquatic Sanctuary is one of the coolest pieces of unique furnitureinStardew Valley. It is a seven-tile-wide fish tank that players can decorate in a variety of ways. Players can put treasure chests, anchors, and evenMayor Lewis’ Lucky Purple Shortsin it as decorations. They can also add fish and other sea creatures. Fish will swim around the tank, and certain other creatures like Frogs and Crabs will move around on the bottom of the tank. Certain fish like Eels also have unique swimming animations.
An Aquatic Sanctuary is a great piece of furniture for players who are looking to spruce up one of their houses later in the game. Sincethey are highly customizable- the tank can hold up to six fish, six bottom creatures, and one each of 14 different decorations - this is one of the few furniture pieces that will likely look different in any given player’s house. This makes it one of the best ways for players to make a space their own.

8Hyper Speed-Gro Recipe Helps Players Grow Crops Faster
Speeds Up Crop Production By 33% Or More
Hyper Speed-Gro is a type of fertilizer thathelps players’ crops grow more quickly. There are a few other forms of Speed-Gro, but Hyper Speed-Gro is the most effective, speeding up crop growth by 33%. This number goes up to 43% if players have taken the Agriculturist profession. It can only be crafted, and the recipe can only be purchased at Qi’s Walnut Room, meaning if players want access to this item they will need to spend Qi Gems on it.
In general, unique recipes are some of the best potential purchases from the Walnut Room store. Recipes are a one-time purchase and can have a big positive effect on a player’s game over time. Hyper Speed-Gro specifically can come in handy when players need to quickly grow a crop for a quest. Quests can sometimes sneak up on players, leaving them little room to grow the requested crop before time runs out or the season changes. Hyper Speed-Gro can greatly decrease these instances, giving players access to more quests and rewards.
7Deluxe Fertilizer Recipe Makes Crops Worth More Money
Guarantees High Quality Crops
Deluxe Fertilizer is the best fertilizer that affects a crop’s qualityinStardew Valley. When using Deluxe Fertilizer, players won’t even have a chance of producing crops of normal quality. Players who have reachedFarming level 10are almost guaranteed to get either a gold or iridium-quality crop. Stacking on the benefits of a Farmer’s Lunch guarantees that players won’t get any silver or normal crops, and will even make iridium crops the most likely outcome.
When crops go up in quality, they also sell for more money. This means that using Deluxe Fertilizer can significantly increase profit margins on a player’s crops. Deluxe Fertilizer can also be helpful when trying to complete quests or bundles that require the player to produce higher-quality crops. This is another recipe that can only be purchased from the Walnut Room, so players who want the best chance of growing quality crops will likely want to spend their Qi Gems on this.
6Heavy Tapper Recipe Speeds Up Artisan Goods Production
Twice As Fast As Normal Tappers
Normal Tappers inStardew Valleycan be frustratingly slow. As any Artisan player who is trying to stock up on Kegs can attest, waiting for the occasional bits of resin can be painful. It also necessitates that players lose some of their valuable farmland to trees, which can also make movement and visibility more frustrating. Luckily, players can buy a crafting recipe for Heavy Tappers from Qi’s Walnut Room that can solve some of these issues.
Heavy Tappers produce products from trees twice as fast as normal ones, meaning that players can either cut down on the number of trees that they need to have on their farm, or they can simply start producing materials more quickly, making tapping trees a more profitable endeavor. Heavy Tappers can only be crafted, and the only place to get the recipe for them is at Qi’s Walnut Room for 20 Qi Gems.
5Hopper Recipe Allows Players To Automate Their Machines
Hoppers are one of the best time-saving implements inStardew Valley. They can be connected to any machine and will automatically load items into them. For instance, players can load ore and coal into a hopper that’s attached to a furnace, so they no longer have to individually insert it each time they want to smelt something. This not only cuts down on tedium but also opens up more storage space,so players won’t have to keep as much ore and coal in their chests.
While players do have the option to simply buy Hoppers from Qi’s Walnut Room at 10 Qi Gems each, the recipe is a slightly better option. Players will be able to make their own hoppers for a one-time price instead of having to constantly buy more from Qi. This can also save trips to Ginger Island, which also cuts down on both time and the cost of producing them.
4Junimo Chests Make Inventory Management Easier
Junimo Chests All Share One Inventory No Matter Where They Are
Inventory management is a big part ofStardew Valleyand not necessarily a very fun one. Players likely don’t want to lug all of their tools around with them anywhere they go, but it’s even more frustrating to get somewhere and realize they forgot an essential tool all the way back at their farm. Junimo Chests are a great answer to this dilemma, asthey allow players to store up to nine items which can be accessed from any Junimo Chest.
This means that players can place a Junimo Chest on their main farm, their farm on Ginger Island, and outside a mine. Then, when they need their tools, they can access them from any of these locations, instead of having to constantly carry them everywhere. This is nice for activities like mining when players will want more inventory slots, and don’t need things like their watering can. Players can simply dump their tools in the Junimo Chest outside, and know that they can retrieve them at their farm later.
This is also handy for players who frequently use the Return Scepter or Warp Totems. If a player uses a Warp Totem to return home late at night, for example, they can do so knowing their items will be waiting there in the Junimo Chest. This is better than having to schlep back to the mines to retrieve it from a normal chest.
3Pressure Nozzles Increase Efficiency On The Farm
Increase The Effective Range Of Sprinklers
A Pressure Nozzle inStardew Valleyisan attachment that players can add to their sprinklers in order to increase their range. At its most effective, a Pressure Nozzle can have an Iridium Sprinkler cover a 7x7 tile square as opposed to 5x5. This makes it possible for players to dramatically increase their ratio of sprinklers to crops on a given plot of land, as each Iridium Sprinkler now waters an additional 24 crops. This means players can make more money off their land, as they have fewer tiles wasted on sprinklers.
These improved sprinklers can save players a lot of resources, especially if they are trying to fully automate their Ginger Island farming space. Because players get four Pressure Nozzles in a pack, they essentially only cost five gems each, making this one of the best deals in the Walnut Room’s shop. This can also earn players some money or just get them additional crafting resources if they can disassemble their extra sprinklers.
2Key To The Town Helps Players Manage Time More Easily
Lets Players Into Most Buildings In Pelican Town At Any Time
The Key to the Town is one of the handier tools inStardew Valleyas it allows players to be a little more loose with their day-to-day schedule. This item allows players toenter many of the buildings in town at any time, which can be very helpful when trying to gift items to certain characters, or when completing quests like saying hello to everyone in town. However, perhaps the best feature of the Key to the Town is its ability to extend the hours of certain shops.
Just because a shop officially closes inStardew Valleydoesn’t mean that the NPC running it actually leaves the counter at that time. Clint, for instance, will lock his shop at 4:00 P.M. but remains behind the counter until 7:00 P.M. before he heads out. Players with a Key to the City can still access any of Clint’s services for an additional three hours. This is especially helpful for the Adventurer’s Guild, which typically doesn’t open until 2:00 P.M. as it can now be accessed first thing in the morning.
1The Horse Flute Speeds Up Travel Significantly
Used To Summon Their Horse Anywhere Outside
Some of the best items inStardew Valleyare the ones that allow players to move around more quickly. They cut down on the number of times players will arrive at a shop or event too late, and can also help players get home when it starts to get too late. The Horse Flute is a great option for quicker travel, as it allows players to summon their horse to any outdoor location.
Typically, players can’t bring their horse to Ginger Island or the desert, but they can with the Horse Flute. This makes travel more efficient, allowing players to get more done during a given day. The Horse Flute is only available at Qi’s Walnut Room and is one of the first items players should consider purchasing. Since it will makeStardew Valleyplayers’ days more efficient, the earlier it is purchased the more effective it will be.
Stardew Valley
Stardew Valley is a charming indie farming scene that took the world by storm. After inheriting a run-down farm from their grandfather, the player moves to Stardew Valley to start a new life away from the city. Grow crops, raise animals, befriend the villagers, and discover the secrets the valley has to offer.
