Cat Quest 3 Final Boss & Ending Explained (In Detail)

Cat Quest 3 has multiple endings, but ultimately, they all lead to one very surprising revelation and outcome for the series as a whole.

10Patchy’s Set

Good Start

This is thefirst real set with any effectsthat you will come across in your playthrough. Patchy’s Set that will do a decent job if you are unsure what else to equip. It canboost your Physical Damage, which is useful until the end of the game if you want it to be. For those who do not want the magic and added effects, this is a pure melee-and-gun-based Armor that will get the job done.

You will find it in the quest of the main story, but specifically, after you have chased Patchy into a cave to take revenge for his tricks on you. This will allow you to start visiting more challenging areas and take on more challenging quests. It might be a simple Armor set, but it is a good one.

Physical Damage +5%

There is achest piece and a hat for every set of Armor, with both pieces usually (but not always) having the same exact effect. Feel free to mix and match to make your build better, or make one stat extra good by doubling up.

9Arcane Set

Magic Boost

There aretwo sets that boost your Arcane abilities, one found earlier in the game called Antares’ Set that you will be able to use until you get to the other. That one isfound inside the Polaris Ruins, and it will boost your Arcane damage by 10%but it is not the ultimate goal for anyone heavily investing in spells.

Instead, you will want tofind the more bluntly named Arcane Set, found late in the game at the Twin Castles that doubles the boost your spells will be getting. This can be a truly deadly combo for any of you cats out there who have been building up your spell arsenal inCat Quest IIIas shown inYouTuber 100% Guides’s video.

Twin Castle East - Complete the area

This is an example of amix-and-match set where the two pieces do slightly different things. You may well want to equip the chest piece as soon as you get it, as there is a fair amount of Arcane damage coming your way quite soon.

8Spicy Set

High-Powered Firearms

There are not many guns inCat Quest III, but the ones that are there cangive players a strong ranged optionif they mostly want to use non-spell based combat. The Spicy Setincreases your Gun Damageand allows you to get more out of every bullet. This can be important, especially for guns like the Meowchine Gun that deal less damage on the whole but fire fast.

You should definitely take this if you have a gun like thatwith more ammunition but less power. Additionally, if you take something with more punch, it will do even more than was intended.

7Knight Set

Defensive Capabilities

The Knight Set is a great choice in Armor due to the fact that it actually does what it says it should:boost your defense. Armor that actually shields you is a great bonus. It isfound very early in the gameand can easily carry you through a large portion of it if you so choose.

Most players will likelyend up choosing between this and Patchy’s Armor early on, so it is up to you which one suits you better. If you find yourself dying more often, take the added defense. If you find yourself wishing for more damage, don Patchy’s Armor and get things done faster.

Cat Quest 3 Review: More Of The Same, Improved

Cat Quest 3, Pirates of the Purribean, adds pirate ships and more humor to the epic adventure of the series while continuing its overarching story.

6Golden Set

More Money

If it’s gold ye be after, you will want to check out this Armor set. It is more practical in battle than you would think, as themore gold and the more loot you have collected, the better it becomes. This is a somewhat rare set in that the Helm and the Armor do slightly different things.

In this case, theHelm increases damage by the amount of gold you have, while theArmor increases the amount of gold you’re able to collect. This can make for a fairly deadly combo, so do not underestimate it.

5Clawfords Set

Multitasking

This set is foundduring the Lovepurr Chronicles questand it is interesting because of how it interacts with your other abilities. This Armor allows you to multitask in ways that would normally not be possible, as thisArmor will deal damage for you as you heal when needed. This is great if you have other ways to heal, and it is a great way to make sure enemies can’t retaliate against you.

Lovepurr Castle

Damages enemies nearby when healing!

This is quite a fun quest, and it is started by finding the Lovepurr Chronicles Quest which you will findby speaking to Clawford in Lovepurr Castle. He will also give you a spell that allows you to use this Armor much more effectively.

4Fishercat Set

Wear While Sailing

This is a great set of Armor as you spend a lot of time on the sea andhaving Armor equipped that ups your damage against other water-dwelling enemieswill help you anytime you are aboard your ship. As you can see inGamer Guru’s video about ship upgrades, you can do a fair amount of damage already to any enemy encountered at sea. However, this Armor will make that even more true than before.

Unfortunately, that alsomeans this set is harder to find. You must be able tocomplete all Fishing Missionsfor a specific fishermanlocated in Straits Island near the north.

3Meowtalikas Set 1 & 2

Extra Lightning

These sets are included together because you shouldseriously consider mixing and matching one with the otherif you plan on building a lightning build - something totally possible asThe Rocker is one of the better weapons in the game. The first set is found after seeing Meowtalika at his concert and gives you extra hits for lightning attacks.

The second is found not long laterafter entering Infinity Tower and gives you a significant damage boost. Together with The Rocker you will truly turn into The Mighty Cathor as youbecome a lightning stormall your own.

Remember thisextra damage counts for spells too if you add the Lightwhisker spellonto this build.

2Dratcula’s Set

Life-sucking Armor

This Armor will give youmore health by making it hard for enemies to keep it. Either the Hat or the Armor will allow you totake health from enemies when you damage them. It is found inEight Bit Castle after you defeat Dratcula, which you’re able to see an example of in thisvideo from 100% Guides.

Once defeated, you willearn his Armor and you will be able to suck the health of your enemiesand keep yourself healed in the process. Staying alive is the goal, and this Armor will help you do that better than others.

1Pi-rat King Set

Delaying The Inevitable

This is one of thebetter pieces of Armorbut one that you will likely have to take into theNew Game + mode inCat Quest IIIto get a lot of use out of it. It is only availableafter you have defeated the Pi-rat King and after completing The Undying Bounty. However, once you have it, it will take a lot more damage to get rid of you than it did before.

This is becauseboth sets of Armor can delay your death, but they also provide significant stat boosts to both Physical and Arcane damage for your adventures in the Purribean inCat Quest III.
